Panathinaikos absent from EOK refereeing meeting, Big 5 shrinks to Big 4

The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) began a refereeing consultation with all 14 Greek Basketball League (GBL) clubs. In the first meeting group, Panathinaikos did not send a representative to the federation headquarters, reducing the group often called the Big 5 to only Big 4. Panathinaikos had already announced its absence, citing long-standing disagreements with EOK over refereeing management. The club has repeatedly demanded professional officiating supervised by ESAKE, the league body, instead of leaving control with the federation. EOK divided the 14 GBL clubs into three discussion groups. The first group included four of the five big clubs.
