Thailand enlists Beckham's former coach for FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026

Shortly before the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) confirmed Peter Taylor will join the national team coaching staff alongside head coach Anthony Hudson. The news quickly drew attention because Taylor once gave David Beckham the England captaincy. However, the move is not about attacking philosophy or formation. It is about fitness and player capacity, two weaknesses exposed in Thailand's 0-2 home loss to Vietnam in the previous ASEAN Cup.
